Wrapping up Another Season at Shake Rag Alley

As always, Trick ‘r Treat at Shake Rag was loads of fun and a huge success. All Hallows’ Eve at Alley Stage is past (and was wonderful). Which means the end of another season at Shake Rag Alley is drawing near. This summer and fall season was sure a busy one.

Over the course of summer and fall 2012, nearly 60 weekend adult workshops were held. Shake Rag also hosted another successful Mosaic Madness Weekend, the four day Woodlanders Gathering event (consisting of nearly 60 classes), the Rug Hooking Retreat, and the Garden Tour and Garden Art Sale: all favorite annual events. This season Alley Stage produced three plays, three musical performances and a Family Fair. And the Youth Summer Program drew an astounding 532 children to 47 classes!

There's been a change of plans at Alley Stage! Back by popular demand, Sam Murn returns as Crumpet, the Macy's Holiday Elf. The New York Times calls the show "A delightfully thorny account of working as a Yuletide elf at Macy's. Priceless observations, both outrageous and subtle. Destined to hold a place in the annals of American humor writing." A fundraiser for Alley Stage, the evening will take place in the intimate Cabinet Shop.
