Fall At Shake Rag Alley

Crunching leaves, beautiful colors, pumpkin carving, hot cocoa, apple cider, hayrides; the list could go on and on. Fall is one of the most beautiful and happy times of the year. Fall for Shake Rag means several really fun events along with a busy schedule of weekend adult workshops and preparation for our Spring Catalog (due out the first of the year). Fall at Shake Rag means that big beautiful tree located on the green turning a wonderful shade of yellow. Fall at Shake Rag means children in the after-school program partaking in Multicultural Arts and Crafts, and Native American Crafts. Fall means creating in the place that inspires creativity.

All Hallows' Eve
Saturday, October 27

On Saturday, October 27 at 7-9 pm, Alley Stage will be hosting All Hallows’ Eve, a fundraiser for Alley Stage. The Alley Stage acting company will present a staged reading of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (PG-13), followed by spooky encounters throughout the Shake Rag Grounds. Bring a pre-carved/decorated pumpkin for the most artistic pumpkin contest! This evening, not intended for small children, will be sure to put you in the Halloween spirit. Tickets are $10. Come in costume and your first beverage is on the house. Beverages will also be available for purchase. Click here to purchase tickets online...or call 608.987.3292.

Trick 'r Treat
October 31

Shortly after our spooky Alley Stage event, a somewhat friendlier atmosphere will prevail for Trick 'r Treating at Shake Rag Alley. On Wednesday, October 31, from 5-7 p.m., Shake Rag will be visited by ghosts, goblins and all manner of colorful characters big and small. Our historic buildings will have fun decorations and friendly, but not scary, costumed greeters with treats for the little ones. It is a delightful way for the whole family to experience Halloween!
