Mosaic Madness - Smashing Good Fun

Summer workshops have covered a wide range of art and craft disciplines from Digital Art to Mosaic/Cement to Jewelry, Needle Felting, and Encaustic Painting.

Here's some photos from Mosaic Madness...more to follow soon in future posts on some of the other great classes that happened this summer.

And don't forget...

There's another great weekend of Mosaic coming up on August 19-21 - Mosaic Cabaret. Five totally fun, short classes in mosaic, hypertufa, and leaf casting.
Check them out here.

A really goofy bird
Another playful bird in the making

Mosaic Madness is one of our longest standing and most popular annual weekends...two and a half days exploring a wide variety of mosaic techniques and some cement work too. As you can see, these students really got into the cement animal sculptures, especially birds.

As you can also see, Mosaic Madness is usually held outdoors under tents surrounded by the wonderful Shake Rag grounds that always inspire creativity. Hmmm...haven't exactly seen creatures running around that look QUITE like these, but these fanciful creations sure look like they've been infused with some of that old Shake Rag "magic".

And just for a little variety...a bunny.
